Gotta admit Gus, especially from a mod a pm to tony would have been more appropriate, not slating the people that help keep passionford going.
Tony, you have a PM.

In my experiences with dealing with Tony he has been fantastic. Very straightforward, upfront and a sound bloke who will go out of his way to help you.

Theres a saying in business, and thats "If your not pissing anyone off, your not doing enough business"
You cant please everyone Tony, and nor can the rest of us.

Been insured with Greenlight for about 8 years and cant fault them.
Every time I have had a problem or question I just pick up the phone and speak to Tony or Neil and its always been sorted straight away.
These guys will go out of their way to help people out and they certainly do a 1st class job from my experience.
Personally if I had a slightly cheaper quote elsewhere, I would rather pay a bit more and stay with Greenlight.
And no.....I don't work for them before anyone asks
Top top guys in my opinion.

they told me they dont insure modified cosworths even tho i said i know of at least two that are insured with them
must depend on who you speak to

I had the same email reply saying I didn't fit the criteria which is ludicrous considering....
a] I have held a clean licence for many years.
b] I had one claim 4 years ago which was not my fault.
c] My postcode area shows up as a very low risk area.
d] The car is garaged and has Cat 1 alarm & Tracker.
e] The car is not excessively modded, is only a Stage 4.
f] I am a female and we are supposed to be considered as safer drivers.
The obviously standard email I received, I found extremely insulting saying I did not fit the criteria with absolutely no explanation why and not even a courtesy call to try and discuss it to see if anything could be done.
To me, even if things could have been sorted, I wouldn't have wanted to deal with a company who dealt with potential customers like that.

Well i for one am VERY happy with Greenlight, Tony has been very helpful over the last 2 years and i will be renewing this year as well. Top company and top service.
just because they wouldn't quote for someone, should they have a topic made about them "GREENLIGHT WHAT A JOKE!!!!!" ....i think not! but then as Stu said it's a public forum and if Gus wants to make statements like that then thats his choice. I personally think it's a little Unjust!!!

fine so they didn't quote, its not like they have sold you a bad policy!!! they have been upfront and said they can't/won't quote.
I've had companies not be able to quote for my old cossie loads of times, i dont go on the internet and start saying "blah blah blah, what a joke!!"

Gus,
Having checked, we could have quoted you m8.
The ONLY reason that we couldnt quote for you was that your date of birth was never entered correctly.
If you check the reason under the decline post, it will say "due to your date of birth being incorrectly entered".
Under your first attempt you entered your DOB as 20th May 2005..
HERE IS THE ACTUAL TEXT WITHIN THE REASON SECTION OUR DECLINED REPLY:
"We are unable to quote as your date of birth has been entered as 20th May 2005. If you would like a quotation please re-input all your correct details and a price will be e-mailed back to you."
Under the 2nd attempt, you totally ommitted to enter your date of birth - leaving the date & month blank, along with the year as the default 1929.
HERE IS THE ACTUAL TEXT WITHIN THE REASON SECTION OUR DECLINED REPLY:
"We are unable to quote as you did not enter your date of birth in the required field.
If you would like to receive a quotation please re-input your details answering all questions."
The PM would have saved all this for what was actually your input error.
So.. our view is very much that WE are not the JOKE in the equation.

thats pretty crap behaviour coming from a mod.
Stu - im surprised you have let it go as this is not the first time Gus has showed the inability to moderate effectively
Greenlight could not insure me either but you dont see me jumping up and down and throwing my toys out the pram. Tony did also try and help at the time.
A simple PM would have done.

Personally i cant see that Gus has done owt wrong.
How many times do you see threads on here about company's being slated because they cant deliver what's needed?
This is no different as Gus had a view & he shared it with everyone on the board.
Perhaps he should have been abit more subtle about it but i guess he was abit pissed off about (in Phils words) the computer saying no
(all imo ofcourse)

And then later as someone aged about 78.
I'm also dissapointed to see a moderator behaving like this, should lead by example!

Totally out of order from someone who is supposed to stop inflamatory and slagging posts NOT START THEM.
The title of this thread should be modded as well in my opinion. If anyone glances at it they could presume Greenlight have done something wrong.
And the BIGGEST EVER as well
