the floor pan on a car is the most expensive part of a car to design!

if i was doing it,, i would used everything from the front inner wings,, buldhead, and all the floor

the way i was going to do it

was us the bottom half of the bulkhead and complere engine bay sierra inner wings etc

just use the tunnel cut down so original escort seats fit in and use a sierra back floor

this way everything will bolt up as it should

but you can use original front struts and just make engine mounts up,

my mates fiesta is done like this, and the just used sierra tunnel and sierra back floor

have a real good think, cos once they are done they weigh about the same as a saff anyway , so performance gains aren't huge

MK2 escort back end is the best way to go.
Proper diff.
Coilovers
6 linnked
turrets
watts link/panhard rod.

I went to look at 1 the other week that had been done like this and it was a proper bit of kit.

Also why build one yourself when you can buy one for not much money.

Just want to build one... Im either going for a 300bhp CVH FWD or a cossie lump and RWD

Nothing better to spend my money on,and id rather see it being built than buy someone else's creation

Just me tbh

why would a mk2 back end be better? it might be easier to fit but look at zoo wrc rear set up.almost looks a bolt in job with a couple of brackets welded on.

SMART ARSE

If I was going to do one then personally I would do a WRC back end yep..

7.5 inch Diff with a cradle bolted to the reinforced floor which is linked into the cage.

The some nice tie bars ETC to some WRC hubs and away.. got loads of info on it and pics and stuff as I looked quite heavily into doing a puma... actually I might have deleted the file...

BUT

Cost + Effort
__________ = Fuck that
Time

Simple equation really.

I have also been to look at a few RWD Mk4's now as I really really WANTED one and havent found anything I was really interested in, and that is in no way a slight on anyones cars.
