can you take unused books of stamps and cash them in a post offices?

God knows, but as it's legal tender you can thoretically pay for shopping/bus fares/prostitutes etc??

altho with the rate of inflation nowadays 800quid will probably get you 2nd class to Bingley

Don't know about now but back in the day a company could say spend £1 million on first class stamps that didn't show any price then (say they were 20p??) then in the future when the prices rise (40p??) they could return them for current value as they are still valid

just looked at the royal mail website, as from april there is a 2p rise in the price of stamps. that'll be an extra £60 quid for me!!! will wait till then to sell them

You best have got these in a legal way, because there is noooooo way you are going to just pitch up somewhere and cash them in no questions asked...
