insurence companys

I found last year, although many people recommend tesco's they weren't very competitive for me personally. I ended up going with Ladybird insurance, which is part of the HSBC insurance group. However this year Tesco was able to beat my other quotes by about £100, as I had the 1 year's NCB.
Get onto confused.com and get a few quotes on there, gives you a starting point from which to have a ring round anyway =)

insurance supermarket is good as well.
elephant are quite good if u have some no claims.
it literally is a case of phoneing as many as possible. i know its annoying but worth it in the end usually.
i gave up and was about to accept a quote of 2150 on a 1.3 nova my first year. at the last minute i decided to phone one last one and got a quote of 1100.
saved a grand by making 1 more call!
