ive quickly read the topic, i gotta say that stu guy doesnt no what he is talking about. how can you compare the two cars, yes both cars are great but you look at the Cosworth & then look at an evo & then you think WOW the cossie still has that sexy thing it had 
it had back in the early 90's........and there's the evo it doesnt compare too the cossie, the evo is a high permance modern car as where as the EsCos is a modern classic high permance car, yeah yeah the evo goes well, what car doesnt these days, but you have too under standard that the Cosworth is a living legand! FACT Im 16 years old & i love my fords but most people should know that the cossie is the better car of the two simpley because its true 
, If we got a EsCos & a evo 8 & put them into a car park & let people look at them, i know for a fact that more people would walk up too the cossie because its simply a legand & always will be, its more rarer than the evo, the cossie is a SUPER & the evo is cool, i think we will have too get that stu bloke & a Escos of here with the same sort of power & let the two race just too prove the point of cossie's & he goes on about the escos being a chav car, how is that true tho, if you go & ask a chav what is dream car would be it will be things like evo's,skylines etc, simpley the fact there the one's the chav power mag. as where as the Escos will be in the more mature car mag, like Performance Ford & Fast Ford etc. my point is you cant compare the two, there in both different leguages, i would rafer drive a EsCos than an evo any day because of the fact that the cossie will always be cool you can drive over 7 over again & it still would put a big fat smile on two your face every time you drive it, its a FUN car, a TRUE CLASSIC which is here too stay. as where as the evo is just a car with a big turbo slapped onit like any other jap car out there, the evo is the same old thing which is getting boring now just face it the EsCos its the better one of the two..........i rest my case

TBH I'd have an Evo everyday over the Cos as I'm a car enthusiast, not a blinkered supporter of one brand/make. HOWEVER I totally respect a Cossie and to say it's shite is just another brand/blinkered mans view. Fantastic car and without it the Scoobs, etc wouldn't be here today, but in the same respect they did kill/overtook the Cossie as we know it. Both fantastic cars, one however has evolved into something better, but if Ford had got their act together they would be up with them today

its good to see most evo owners on there stuck up for the cossie, but then again quite a few own a cossie aswell as their evo the lucky sods. but evo6 prick does have a point wen he said about parts availability. ford honestly dont give a shite about older models and if u went in a dealer with a p reg mega low mile auralis blue esc cos for example, u'd still get looked down upon coz its not hte latest focus tdci yaawwnnnn lol

I think MikeR, RichieRuss et al and I did a good job on showing that fuckwit up to be a right clueless, bigotted tit. There were 3 threads on the go and we managed to get 2 of them locked.... one is still running, but has had warnings from Mods on it.

these people talking from their ringer!!!! driven both and my preferance is for the escos, 10 years of a difference and still sweet as a nut, i have also raced both with my 205 mi... how come if the evo is so great i manage to toast 5 of them VI and VII but the 3 times i raced an escos i get put in my place

i had a race with an evo 8 the other day in the cossie. though twisty bends and round abouts. i didnt win as i coulnt get past him. it was pretty much neck and neck. cosworth rule. old but still give all this jap crap a good run and also win.
