INFACT

my wonderfull company sees fit to pay its employees LESS if they do more hours

Let me explain a bit more lol

I work the night shift (dont actually affect me cos im on a salary ) and if the hourly paid staff work more than there 8 hour shift it takes them into the dayshift so they LOOSE the premium they get for working nights , and the amazing thing is they still get people to work it (lots of imigrants in my place ) so no wonder they do it when they can get away with it because they still have people willing to do it, so they have NO NEED to pay any more

Did the Working Time Directive come in yet? That could limit how much overtime you can do and some jobs, like HGV drivers, have had specific limits on their hours for some time now.

if you are not being paid to work extra hours ... then do not do them ..

check your contract of employment first to see how many hours you are employed to actually work.
then stick to your contract.

if you are expected to work over your contracted hours then ask for more money to do so.

Quote ME

"and the amazing thing is they still get people to work it (lots of imigrants in my place ) so no wonder they do it when they can get away with it because they still have people willing to do it, so they have NO NEED to pay any more "

Like I say THEY as in the company still get people to do it, and people wonder why wages in this country are so shit or people put up with all kinds of shit and unfair conditions when these imigrants are willing to do anything they're told to do for whatever the companies can get away with paying them, most just want to lie low so as not to be found

(and yes my factory gets regular visits from imigration and regularly catch people, BUT what happens to the company nothing yet, oh and at least one of the "workers" had been there so long he was legaly then allowed to stay )

a big well done to tony blair,he has turned this country into a proper mess, but this is why he wants so many immigrants, not because he is nice, but he wants cheap labour, you cant blame the immagrants, for trying to better themselves, but i would blame nice smiling fraud tony blair

i used to work for the civil service an in there you do not get overtime because your on a flexi rate, this meant i could start an finish whenever but i had to have done a certain amount of hours each month,

Wasnt to bad because my boss would let me away with about 16hours aslong as there were made up at some point,
