no the 2wd is a 7.5 inch cossie diff, the 4x4 is a 7 inch.
the 2wd is around 195 mm wide at it's upper mounting the 4x4 is about 10 mm less

7 and 7.5 refers to the crown wheel diameter not your penis size

As Turbosystems says

I've done it, I had a 1/2" spacer knocked up and that was all that was needed

it will have less top end than standard due to final ratio being different

YES more acceleration but you do loose alot in mid and tops!

m8 had one(4x4)in his 2 w/d and the gears WERE noticably shorter and car was screaming after 150+mph etc!

eh, its 3.62 vs 3.64 which is probably only equates to about a 1mph at 150+

Surely in addition to the loss of mid and top end, isn't it weaker ?????

Sorry Jay,

It was a 4x4 cossie diff fitted to a Sapphire 2000E, which oddly had a 7.5" beam

I didn't notice much difference TBH, but the car was shit slow anyway

I think the 2000E diff was a 3.62:1 anyway

Neil.
