Are you sure that the outer two TPS wires are the correct way round ? (A friend of mine fitted a PF09 and L8 to his car and changed the wires round, forgetting that I'd already changed them round, so his car would sometimes idle at about 3k)

cossiegreg1,

Hi,
for 2wd switch pfo1,
Resistance check for switch, ignition off, throttle closed pin +11, & -30, 400 to 600,ohm's
pin +30 pin -17,throttle @ idle position 00, slowly open throttle to fully open, observe multimeter, around 40 to 150,ohm's with the throttle just open, to full resistance, with wot, approx 300 to 600, ohms,
there are other ways of doing the above check using different pins of the
ecu plug, ALSO as the map sensor is on the same lines disconnect when checking.

Volts for T/Switch, pin +30,& pin - 11,ignition on throttle closed 4.5 to 5.5volts,
throttle fully open approx 0.5 to 0.6volts. as above checks can be done @ different pins adjust switch to suite,
these checks are from ford workshop manual.
