Default Help please, cant get the tappetts out :(

As i just changed the cambelt, i figured i may as well change my tappetts as the old ones sounded like a bag of nails since i put the cam in, but they just wont come out, they move freely enuff when the pully is turned but wont come out at all, I got one out and fitted the new one which moves fine and comes out no probs, but cant move the others, I took one of the old ones apart and used a pliers to grip it and yank it out, but like the others they wont move past a certain lenght, any one got any ideas please?

Mole gripes round the body of the tappet and twist it and pull at the same time it will come out but they can be tight

if its an RST it wont it would have to be one of those that they use to pick car up in the scrappy!
you will just need to use a pair of mole grip but be carefull not to rag them abou to much as it will fuck the bore where they sit

Take the cam out drop them thru into cam channel and remove them out of the distributor end of head...... DO NOT force them out the usual route or you WILL damage the head
