i dont use my cosworth often but when i do there is something that tapps when the engine rpm dies down so if i rev car not hard just to 2000 rpm every time the throttle shuts and revs die the engine tapps some peolpe say its my tappetts some say little ends

if its tappents anybody know where i can get some genuine ford ones? as iv used non genuine in other cars and they wher worse than old ones

or if its little ends can i just replace them or do i need new pistons also?

cosworth do tend to rattle pop and fart when cold specially if they are left stood for a few weeks etc,without hearing the noise it is hard to tell tbh!

it does it also when its warm as anybody used non genuine tappets in a cosworth? if so where they any good

i think matt lewis stocks gen tappets!might be worth checking ya cambelt tension,just tro make sure the belt aint flapping away

my car tapped after 1500miles on run in from rebuild,it was a horrible noise,i was getting pissed off with it after spending so much money

people were saying small ends i was close to stripping it then one day it went away and never returned

just a really lazy lifter in end
