hey just a quickie.
just removed the standard actuator from my t3 running standard boost on s2.
where should the thing (!) be on the rod for the -31 because it holds 8psi min doesnt it so i assume somewhere near the end of the rod??
just roughly, because it will be tuned soon after fitting.
thanks!!!

I guess you have your turbo back from being repaired
The amount of preload you need on the actuator varies from turbo to turbo,
As a benchmark I would only set the preload at 1mm
To do this adjust the rod end so that it will slide on the waste gate only just holding it closed, then lift it off and screw in about e full turns down the thread, this should give you about 1mm preload, difficult to say how much boost this will give you, but it is a good starting point

a -31 needs a longer length than a standard one, i matched my -31 to the same length as my standard one and i hit 1.5 bar boost
i made my -31 about 1-2 mm longer and it held at 1.1 bar
