I expected jet lag when i went to Canada last month.
We went to Toronto which is same time zone and flight length as New York.
On the way we left at 10.30am, 8 hr flight and so it was only 1.30pm when we arrived, but that was good coz we didnt waste a day travelling.
Coming back though we left at 7pm Canadian time, and by the time we had flown back via Glasgow and gone forward 5 hours it was 9am over here! Id gone past being tired so was fine that day, but b/f was knackered.
We didnt bother claiming tax back, couldnt be arsed with the hassle.

PASSPORT ARRIVED THIS MORNING! 
So all I gotta do now is book the trip!
If I get it "all in one" from Expedia.co.uk it's gonna cost near £700, and I ain't sure if that covers taxes and shit with the motel place.... So I think I might ring em on Monday (the motel) and see if I can book the rooms direct. If they come to less than £290 ($500) - which it should do! - then it will save a few quid
If not, then I'll just book it all in one go....
