Default Anyone know how to find out the registered owner of a car?

Afternoon all...wondering if anyone's got any idea how to track down the owner of a car?

Nowt dodgy, before anyone gets all worried, but there are two cars I need to track down the registered owner & addresses for, as some dodgy shyster has done my missus and her mates over for a bit of wedge, and the courts require proof that he's still in town....whenever the bayliffs turn up at his house though, his family say he no longer lives there.

Also trying the land registry, to prove that he's the registered owner of the house, but any help anyone could provide to enable me to prove he owns these two cars & that they're registered to his address would be extremely helpful.

(Sorry for the mundane nature of this post, but I assumed someone on this board would have a clue on this subject!)

Thanks a lot,
greg

DVLA for the cars, they may help if there's a legal case going on which you can prove but don't hold your breath.....old bill can only run a PNC check on a cae iif they've stopped it IIRC.............

Land Registry may prove he owns the house mate, but that doesn't prove he lives there. My old man co-owns 2 other places, his name is on Land Registry as he's one of the the legal owners but he's lived where m&d live now since 1969...........

Thanks for the info....
I thought that'd be the case. Bummer.

Will have to see if there's a more surreptitious manner of proving his whereabouts.

S'pose I could have him grabbed, and then driven to the court...?

Don't Rich...the fact that it's in the house, let-a-lone by the front door, worries me unduly.

Unfortunately Daveed, my missus is a gentle little soul. Wants nothing bad done. And I'm a pacifist, so same here really, but what a knob cheese.

And thanks Dave, I'll bear that in mind. Think there's a two week period to get info to the courts, otherwise the useless feckers throw the claim out.
If it gets to that stage, it's unfortunately the case that something would have to be done away from the legal process. Helpful eh?
Thanks again though....will shout you when ( /if?) it goes tits up!

Sorry, I was of the impression that trying to locate the registered owner of a car was in some way '(Car related only)'...
