Default SPA boost/temp gauge..............

Where have you mounted the boost pressure sensor on your car? Inlet manifold or boost piping?

Which would be best?

Also, I pressume the temperature sensor (oil temp) would need tapping to the bottom of the sump?

Can't help with the first bit cos I'm not sure! But ref the oil temp - my temp sensor is mounted inside a specially designed sump plug - it came with the SPA gauge. Think this is quite a common way to do it.

Drilling/tapping into the sump means sump removal and lots of hassle!

Not sure if you can get one of these 'sump plug' sensors for your car - but worth trying wherever you bought your gauges -someone like Demon Tweaks may be worth a try.

sump is the worse place you can put an oil temp sensor, will always read the coldest temp. get a threaded y piece from buton power and fit it insted of the oil pressure swithch, then put the switch and oil temp sensor in to each of the y peices.

the sump has the most amount of oil in any part of the engine

so that means you get a proper reading wether it's low or not

no other part on the engine has the same amount of oil at any other time

Had to move my oil temp sensor from the sump plug cus I've had to have the breather adapted to drain oil back to the sump at that position. I've got a T piece to fit in the oil line somewhere. How does after the oil cooler sound?
