RS200 Group B monsters at Spa on Tuesday .... vid.
I couldn't believe my eyes as we drove through Francorchamps Monday evening from the 'ring and saw TWO UK reg RS200s outside a hotel.
Got some on track footage following and suprisingly??? passing them in my mrs' lardy mk4 Golf .....

I don't see your point? It is obvious in the video from their lines (or lack of) and the fact they they don't pull away from you on the exits that they are not driving as hard as you are which therefore makes the fact you pass them irrelevant
Surely this would be better being a 'Nice to see some RS200s on track' thread than a 'I'm better than you' thread

Disagree, this should be a thread titled "Look at these wasters in RS 200's on track, they would be better off in a Micra".You dont buy a RS 200 to tool around in for f*cks sake.Regards Micky

It was bloody nice to see them on track, no doubt about that and the way they went full chat down the hill to Eau Rouge when I was spectating, I would have expected them to decimate EVERYTHING on the track tbh!
I thought something must've been wrong when we caught them the first time, hence why I pulled over to hear them pass flat out again
Didn't 'want' to sound a cock

Micky,
Just because you are on a track doesn't mean you have to drive flat out and risk your pride and joy! (Or moan at everyone who is slower than you) If you want to do that, go racing
Track days are to have fun on the safety of a race track without breaking speed limits on a public road. The RS200s even slowed, indicated and let GVK past without holding him up, very good track drivers in my opinion

I agree with that Phil 100% , the Autotrack day was one of the best we've ever done, we expected to be mobile chicanes all day tbh, as we reached the circuit we saw those RS200s, eleventy million GT3s, Ferarri's... the lot.
On track etiquette was top notch, no matter what car we passed.
We had a few people ask us about the car as it was going so well in the wet.
I suppose in all honesty I was expecting much more from the RS200s tbh.

Phil,I'll agree they had impeccable track etiquette, something I think is very important and the one thing that really annoys me at trackdays when I have the mispleasure to come across drivers who dont have any at track days. But come on,its a RS200,a car that even if driven at 6/10's would leave that Golf standing. Those drivers did a great car no justice whatsoever.Regards Micky

The stickered up RS200 looks very similar to one I have seen doing sub 3 second 0-60s at Trax before:
If it is the same car, the guy certainly wasn't shy of giving it some then!
P.S. Good driving in the vid GVK
