Default Piston Rings - Zetec Turbo

Just about to install my accralitte pistons into the bores but a friend has put doubt into my head with regards to spacing of the piston ring gaps?

I thought they would be the same as when installing OE rings (120 degrees apart any position)but he has stated they are different due to the pistons being forged?

Can someone clarify this for me.

Thanks in advance.

Its the degree spacing for the gaps in the piston rings im after. And weather or not the spacing is the same as stated for the OE piston rings.

The rings are spec'd for the pistons mate.

I fitted cosworth forged pistons into me S2 and just gapped then as usuall

Know a lad how builds ZVH's and he uses accralite pistons and just gaps the same too.

i dont think you can have a propper strong ZT with out shorter conrods so you can leave plenty of meat on top of the crown of the pistons

Get shortened Arrow rods, like mine cost a grand though then get some decent pistons.
