Im going to take the escort for a spin in a bit, might not even like the shonkyness off it
,if I keep the s13 then its gonna take longer for me to get the cossie on the road.im doing a set of rear tyres a month at the mo just going to work and back
its deffo not a cheap car to run.Im thinking get the scort leave it in the garage, bring it out twice a week and get a shitter to go to work and back saving me some money
also miss the sound of carbs
but then again the amout of attention the nissan gets is ace

Sorry, but if the whole point was to save MORE money, then you wouldn't be getting the 2k rep - you'd be selling the S13, buying a runabout for £150 and putting ALL the money into the Cossie, not buying another car you don't intend on using

But if you tuck the 2k rep up in the garage then it ain't a daily is it?
Maybe it's just me, but I do not understand peeps who feel the need to have more than 2 cars, when it means that at least 2 of those cars won't get used - at one point I had my works van, my 3i, and my S1 - and I only ever drove the works van!!! Why? Cos it was FAR easier to jump in the company paid for derv van and nip up the shops or over to the pub or mates house etc, and it not cost me anything, then get the S1 out, which means unlocking the garage, getting it out, locking it all up again, sitting there while it warmed up, then taking it out, worrying about where it's parked etc etc, then doing it all again when I get home to lock it up again....
And then I sat down and thought - fuck, I'm spending nearly £2k on insurance on 2 cars I don't use? Plus MoT's, plus Tax, plus plus plus...
So I sold the 3i and thought, great : daily driver, and a fun "weekend" car - but even that wasn't worth paying the over-exuberant insuance fee's for!
If I was to not have a works van, I might buy something like a S1 again - but it would be a daily driver, rain sun or snow.... As I don't see much of a point ot having a car that isn't used unless it is like your cos that you are rebuilding.... But then once the cos was built, I would be selling off the other cars and just having one anyway )tho with these old ford shitheaps, it's always worth having a £150 runabout for when they break down
