Default Garage Heating options

So as the weather draws in the temp in the garage has dropped alot.
Got -1 the other night so I need to act.

I've seen some thermostatic wall heaters like the ones used in greenhouses but looking for recommendations.

or am I best to leave it to the elements??

The modern electric wall mounted radiators are thermostatically controlled, have frost protection and are very efficient.

Be worth insulating it well if your heating it, be a bit like pissing in the wind otherwise.
Although this can cause issues when parking a wet car inside.

I've got x3 prem i air 2 kw door curtain heaters in my garage , x2 heat setting , fan for summer , remote control , swing , digital program etc and Ł50 each .
I normally only have 2 on at anyone time and they heat the garage very well ,
as a sparky I would of purchased dimplex heaters but for Ł150 it was to much money
iVe had no problems with them and the only took 5 mins to hang

cheers paul

i've got a large shed which is well insulated and damp proofed. i just use oil filled radiators for it as they retain the heat for a while and are reasonably cheap to buy! they also have their own thermostats so i set them to stay a little bit above freezing so as not to waste too much electricity when i'm not using the shed.

yes, my garage has massive insulation, even the garage door is over 1 inch thick as it is insulated and it has a building above to modern standard (celotex etc.) but if you park a wet car in there it stays wet until the morning. It also stays hot from the Engine heat....not ideal for a car to begin a humid environment.

Hummm...food for thought

As it stands it gets cold but I've got airflow passing through.

Not getting condensation and no damp hanging about is it gets wet.

I am now wondering if adding heat might create an issue??
