Default Help please! Cortina headlining

Hi, I am in the process of fitting my mk2 cortina up after paint. I have a new headlining ( there wasnt one fitted when I got the car) and therefore I have absolutely no idea how to fit it up!
I have the bars and it's pretty self- explanatory that these fit in the slots on the cloth, then clip into the brackets on the roof.
And I'm sort of assuming that I would be best to use a contact adhesive to stick the edges up?
I really do need some advice on this, as I have never fitted one before so any help would be greatly appreciated!!!
Thanks everyone, matt

Never done it but contact adhesive sounds like a good plan as long as it is not a pour out headlining that will allow the glue though

Yes it is it has tiny little holes in it- but I was thinking of an aerosole contact adhesive and being a bit careful! Not really sure of what else I could use? Thanks

Have a look over at
www.buysellcortina.co.uk.
Iam sure some one will help you. I need to fit one to my mk2 as I think the owner was a big Smoker and it looks stained. But it's the original head liner as its a one previous owner car so might try and clean it.

You need this stuff. Its the best many trimmers i know use it.

Put your bars in and then starting from the middle of screens work your way outwards pulling tight and glue over the screen lip. Screen rubber then covers it.
Small brush for glue on both surfaces leave to go touch dry and then stick.

Do sections at a time.
