You can change the surface finish with different abrasive grit, for our blasting we use a 3hp 150ltr 14cfm which is plenty. We could not live without our cabinet, its one of those items you never get round to actually buying, but one you get you will be thinking, where have you been all my life.

Hope this helps

Just out of interest, what pressure do you set the compressor at when shot blasting?

That all depends on the part you are blasting, media being used and the finish you are after.

A good all rounder is 90psi with 1"hose and 60-80 media

The bigger the volume of air being used the easier it is to control, I have a 1/4 " blaster at my unit which is very hard to control, at 130psi it is much less affective than my other 1" system at 90psi!!!

Hope this helps

We use oxide 60-80 media for pretty much everything part I do and thats for powder coating. Everything we do is taken back further by hand though to give the best finish. This could be achieved by using glass beads or alternative media but in all honesty is too much of a ball ache cleaning the cabinet out each time. You need to consider what you are blasting and what finish you are after. Sorry this isnt much help, feel free to give me a shout on 07894 636 707 if you need any more help and I will do my best.
