Default AP's under Comp 18's

Going to order up bells/rotors soon and need to know the biggest disc size I can use under new Comp Mo 1881's 18x8

I'm receiving conflicting info,

362 x 32 under old style Comp MO 18's will work

378 x 32 under under 18 Rota's? surely can't fit unless they are 19's

Justin's B13 3dr (Fast Ford front cover) 362 x 32 under RL7 17's? surely can't fit unless they are 18's

Looking like I'll be going 362, same as Kev's (K5OSY) as they are close

2wd and 4x4 is already different.
I also have 4x4 with 18inch comp's and AP brakes from Reyland 362mm AP Racing 6-pot CP7040 calipers.
I actually needed to mill down the bracket 1mm because the clearance was almost nothing.

On my 2wd is the same brake set but this fits perfectly under 17inch because the brakes are more on the inside of the rim where is more space.

this is on my 2wd with 17"s team dynamics
As you can already see on the bells the 2wd brakes fall a lot more to the inside compared to the 4x4's

Thanks for that

I see, mine is 4wd so looks like ill be going 362's

I have heard the Reyland brackets are close, maybe have to get them elsewhere as I don't want to be machining new parts down for the price of them

What I'd do is bin the 18's and fit 17's - 18's make a Sapphire drive horribly. Plus they catch all 4 arches so you'll need to address that.

Not on a Sapphire with Mos. Biggest you can get is 362 on CP5555 calipers.

You aren't low enough or driving hard enough then

362's are your limit though, even then you may need to fit a bit off the caliper to make them fit

380 8 Pots under a Rondel wheel fits so can't see why you wouldn't get that size under a Compomotive.

Looks like the 7040 caliper is the limiting factor and also 4wd bells

Just waiting for Mark to reply from MT motorsport

Does anyone know the part numbers or a link to the genuine AP 362 x 32 j-hooks?

It's coming up 4 options on there website

Thanks for all the reply's, big help

That's an Escort

You've no mission of getting that size disc on a Sapphire.

I've since found them Paul, cost is £402.11 each

CP5772-168 RH
CP5772-168 LH

I sent a message to MT to price them up but apparently he took offence as I sent it on a Sunday.......I'll be getting the stuff from Martin at Reyland, at least he has the decency to contact you back.

I will do Kev but the rotors will not be genuine AP, martins own.....tbh it's not worth the extra £180 a rotor for genuine unless my car is a track whore

MT said groove is what he normally orders

Wheel offset is totally different

Same brakes will hit a wheel on a Sapphire as the caliper face touches the back of the wheel's spokes. The lower offset on an Escort allows way more clearance. 363mm discs are the biggest you can fit on a Sapphire with a CP5555 caliper. You can do 378mm on an Escort with the same caliper and wheels.
