Have any of you on here made your own wiring looms for the radiator fans. Was it easy to make and what electric parts did you use.
Have they been reliable and do you have any pics of the looms.

Ive just been looking in my haynes manual. I will need a permanent live from the battery. A switch live from the ignition. A earth then power from the relay to the fan switch.
It looks simple to make. I just think 64 quid is a lot of money for what the looms are.

Also you don't need ignition control (In actual fact I don't think the Cosworth is) don't forget to protect the supply as close to the battery as possible with a fuse!

So how are the fans wired up in that diagram on the rsoc. Is there live wires coming from the battery to some fuses then to the relays then from the relays to the fan switches.
Obviously the relays will need to be earthed.
Obviously the relays will need to be earthed.
The relay ground connects to the fan switch, when it closes this then completes it's circuit and in turn the live to the fans.
This is the OE setup, and all models are the same.
Your diagram shows this.

wire it as per that diagram, but with a permenant +12v to pin 85 not a switched live. this way the fans will keep running when the engine stops as per the original ford setup.
I wouldn't bother with an override switch either. if everything else is in good working order there is no need.
