pad wear sensor plugs on car loom?

Default pad wear sensor plugs on car loom?

Im trying to fit the pad wear sensors plugs on my car loom. cant find them? Where should they be? Anyone know?

My guess is they have been cut off

There aren't any on a Cosworth.

Oh. I was ordering pads and it show them with a wear sensor. Good job I checked!

Just cut the sensor off the pad

Same with my yellow ebc pads, just cut it off. Suppose a simple loom connected to a ignition 12v supply and a led warning light somewhere and the wires to the pad wires, would be a warning system as once both ends of the sensor wires in the pad hit the disc it'll create the circuit as there is a slit half way along the pad. Is that right??????.

Something like this. Obviously the right resistor and LED would be needed. This is only guessing..

Good job. I'm guessing the pads are used in other cars that use the sensor. Seems stupid that they put these in when they are not required. Thanks for the replies peeps

Yeah. IIRC they are also used on Mondeos, or thats what was written on the pads box when I got them, so the mondeo might have a sensor loom on them????

I had a quick look on ebc direct as ive bought red stuff pads. Shows they are also used on BMW E23 , E24, E28 and a Panther Solo...? What ever the fuck that is

Never seen them before. How weird does the engine look at that angle.
