Help please! 3door with Harvey Gibbs 4x4 engine [low compression] etc etc . Cam belt jumped tooth or even a few teeth ?, Question to check timing on normal factory Cam Pulleys there are pointers for TDC so you have the initional setting, but on mine i have Kent Pulleys...no pointers to TDC . do i remove valve cover and do i assume on No 1 TDC both inlet and exhaust cam lobes fully clossed. Help PLEASE.

Remove pulley bolts and align camshafts woodruff key to 9pm exhaust and 3pm inlet. At this point you will usually find some other part of the pulley represents the TDC marker, such as an allen bolt.

Essentially use the woodruff keys to align across the mating face of teh head / cam cover.

Problem hear is re-9 EX & 3IN that i see is fine when you look at standard Cams, i believe the woodfuff key position in mine is in any "old place on these Cams", Nearest is the inlet on mine TDC crank... inlet allmost 3...exhaust mid 4/5, , would have to move EX a long way to get to 9!, Think will give up. Thanks ALL for opinions.

Sounds like you have an exhaust cam ground from an inlet blank. at this point you MUST take it to someone who can dial cams without pointers or your going to do even more damage.
