Sunroof drainage pipes
Whats the best way to unblock these and also is it possible that they are just knackered and need changing, if so how difficult are they to get at??
It's the passengers side that need sorting out after I discovered a swimming pool in the footwell earlier in the week.

I really need to get at them later down in the car near the footwell, as that's were my swimming pool is accumulating, I was pouring water down the tubes and watching it come straight out into the footwell, not good.
I'm just hoping that that one is blocked and with a bit of wire I'll be able to clear them out tomorrow.

It won't be the tube that's blocked, is yours a 3door or a saff? On my 3dr the tube runs from the roof of the car, through the 'A' pillar and then down past the where the door bolts onto the car and then drains straight into the sills where it finds it's way out somewhere near the jacking point underneath the car (I assume a saff would work the same) If waters getting into your footwell then the tube is not blocked, if it was blocked the water wouldn't get into the footwell as it would be stuck in the tube.
I investigated this on mine once when my footwell was filling up but it turned out to be a leak around the fusebox.
I'll try and get a link up to the thread I started when inwas trying to track down the leak on mine as someone posted up a few photos of what causes the water to get into the footwell, it can be caused by the jacking points being crushed up underneath the car preventing the water from draining out of the sills.

Thanks for all of the replies, I now have water leaking out of the correct bits under the car, but this is what awaited me after I took up the carpets
and
basically the water is coming from where the arrow is, does this mean that one of the drainage pipes is cracked somewhere along the line or just not in there properly??
And typical that it has just started raining as well, joy!

If I was you I would take off the covers that allow access to the door hinge bolts from inside the car, once they're removed you should be able to see the drain pipes and check that the water is flowing freely out of the end of it. I doubt they're cracked though, if they were then the water would probably still drip into the sill where it should be going, it seems more like the problem is that the water is not flowing properly from the sill out of the jacking point. Could possibly be routed wrong but unlikely I would say. Might be worth also looking at the other side to see how that ones routed to check if it's the same and also make sure there's no problems occuring on that side before they get too bad

Thanks for letting me know how to get to the pipes, I'll see if I can get that done asap. The other side was done last year after the carpet was wet and when I lifted that there was a huge hole after pulling away all of the rust. No wet carpet that side since.
The water is still flowing out of the sills and the other drainage point, but also into the car as well, from that point, more so now that I've pulled all of the rust away.

I think I'm gona try extending the pipes on mine and making a hole through the wheelarch to poke the pipes through as was suggested in the link I posted up. My car is outside all year round so it seems stupid to have soaking wet sills everytime it rains.
