10K+ Poster!!
Depends too much on engine spec really.
A TT unit is going to make more power on the right engine but probably not be as driveable as the cr unit would be on the right engine.

Is it going on a 4wd or 2wd car , if its 4wd i would go for either the CR or UT version as they dont give massive torque but do give useable smooth power.
I think both the UT and CR versions will be much the same as Vince worked for both places, the CR version might have had some updates like the option of roller core.

Damo, what's the most powerful cossie you've owned/driven?? i'm not being funny kust curious, you say you want a fast road car and i think personally a T34.48, EVEN 55/63 make great road cars, now i'm not saying GT3071s don't befroe anyone jumps on me, but imo and experiance the T34.48 live mappad makes a superb car, as said especially on 4x4 as you'll hammer diff's etc on the T38 with 400-450ft/lb..
Just my 2 penneth mate..

Problem with rb turbo's is you cant use lc\al think my money would be on a t4 rb,or depending on other spec of engine,if fairly standard,ie no cams or head work,t34/65 rb

Stu I think the roller core that Vince fits uses metal cased bearings so should be fine with mild antilag and lc. I use to have a UT T38 and thought it spooled as quick as the T34.55 i had on before it, I wasnt overly impressed by the rb T4 not for the £1600 i paid for it.

t34.48 with greys or 55s and live map as pete staffi says, ive got t34.48 and greys and a live map and it is the best set up ive had along with t34 and light blues years ago, i had the utt38 with 83lbs and the rbt38 cr turbo with me greys and t38s are just not for me
also a good t34 mapped car with 55s will prob do a t38 powered cossie up to a ton in a race.....
