It LOOKS like a T3/T4 Hybrid with a .50 A/R compressor

Not sure the A/R of the turbine side but its probably marked on there somewhere.

IF it is the turbo I THINK it is.. it should support 350 RWHP+ pretty easily.... and up to about 25psi before it really start heating the air up too badly....

I may be wrong, people may have other opinions on this for ya mate.

If you are correct about the "ebay special" part...then he might as well swap in a full length header off of a naturally aspirated car if he wants to drive it farther than the end of the driveway....lol

Is the shaft play side to side or in and out?

If its side to side and the wheels dont seem to be scraping when you turn it while pushing to the side and no evidence of contact, then I would say run it...

How laggy? ( i.e. what RPM do you reach full boost?)

Is your engine running properly?
Any exhaust/intake leaks?
plugged exhaust?

Cam Timing?

Is the wastegate actuator tight against the swingarm or is there slack, it should be jsut slightly snug so the puck doesnt leak...
