Default iacv question

looking through flebay today and seen some new iacv for for my 88 2wd cosworth for 70quid new,it says on the add they are oe quality third party iacv. 200541027040
i was just wondering will this be fine on my 2wd saff as i have been advised to get a new iacv for my car and i dont want a aftermarket 1.

It's actually ISCV (Idle Speed Control/Compensation Valve) that seems very expensive to me considering it's not a genuine Marelli item. I do remember a thread on here a while back asking the same question but can't remember what the general consensus was, they do look well manufactured, unless you knew otherwise would be very hard to spot the difference between it and the genuine item, however that doesn't tell you if they are any good or not.

I had a look at feedback from previous buyers of these, and they had no issues, the reason for the price imo is supply and demand, ie they are the only ones where you will get a new one, I've modded my inlet for the KA iscv, Ł15 for a new one, bit of piping etc all hidden.
I don't think Ł70 is a lot if it does the job perfectly, compared to a non functioning one.

cheers lads for the replys,for 70quid i may as well give it a try instead of getting a second hand 1 and it is no better than the 1 i got now,
