Standard head and cams although from speaking to Harvey those builds usually had one of his inlet cams in it. I don't recall anything being written on it when I did the head gasket on it for the new owner though.

Changing the cwp made a massive difference though, more power would of been nice but with reliabilty like it had he just left it as it was.

I guess you reconize the car from "that" video

It was mapped by Ahmed I believe back in the day, L8 with pectel board etc..

Its now on Siemens, closed loop and a msd chip which in fairness has made it 200% better on fuel and far less likely to fry itself now it has one of Ryans looms on it.

So going back to power on T34s, i've never believed they'd make a true 400bhp, but after seeing this graph on a .48 i'm guessing with the correct Spec on a .63 housing 400 is possible?? but for turbo length of life i'm guessing not long.....

Yes, they will do over 400bhp on a well specced engine, ported head, cam, etc speak to mike rain bird, his was doing something like 410s with a nice head, pair of Lairy rally cams that would kill his lifters, they became a serviceable item e cams were that harsh,

But then turbo life as you say isn't great over 400bhp as your having to hold a fair bit of boost in at the top

Very interesting that Jimbo..

Mine's going to have some more work done on it next year, just haven't decided on what Turbo yet, or stick with the TT T35.63 i have as it's brand new, and get the 4x4 Inlet fitted and an Inlet cam too then fresh map....

As jimbo has said 400+ is possible but doesnt make for a nice road engine as the cams are too lairy..

The best t34 road spec is as mentioned and will do circa 380 hp in car!!

cheers danny
It as dynoed at nearer 400 originally aparently, ran water injection etc but all that had been removed when my mate got the car.

I always believed it was on a .55 housing but turns out once we had the turbo off that it wasn't.

It did run a LOT of boost though but then as I said never once went wrong in all the time I've ever known the car, engine was immaculate inside when we had the head off as well.

Good to hear that too mate, it does get my back up when people harp on about Cossies being unreliable etc etc, a well mapped/serviced/built Cossie will last for-ever if you look after it..

Sounds perfect, get your tuner to have the head and just have a couple hundred quid spend on the ports and it will be lovely

Anything around or over 380bhp on mine when done I'll be well happy, and probably shitting myself regardless due to the harsh ride.....anyone have some softer springs??

The only reason we ever had the head off was due to a small amount of water leaking from the front corner of the gasket, Dave who owned it was too afraid to take it to bits fearing the block would be damaged but as it turned out it was only the gasket and clearly it had never been to bits since Harvey originally built it.

As you say good engines if their looked after

No, long studded 200 block, Dave did about 5 trackdays and the ring with it weeping slightly and it never got any worse so didn't really want to pull a perfect working engine apart.

He sold the car reasonably cheap so the new owner spent a few grand on it replacing some of the worn out bits.

Its a tidy car now and probably won't ever be seen on track again as the new owner is a bufty lol

I'm keeping my fingers crossed I get similar reliabilty from the new one lol

Well your T3 will be on it's last legs @ around 320bhp

So for your desired 350 i'd opt for..

T34.48
Actuator
Greys/55lb Injectirs
Live map (imo)

Ans away you go with the rest of your Spec, it'll be a HOOT of a road car then, no lag like your T3 but pull harder..
