wats got stronger gearing 4wd box or 2wd box,, can ya use a 4x4 g box in a 2wd car i know about transfer box on side,, or can ya swap some of the gearing over from the stronger box to the weaker box,, or best just go buy straight cut g box,, if so any idea on price new & 2nd hand,, cheers lads

You can't swap the internals between the two. You can use a 4x4 box in a 2wd car, you'll need the 4x4 mounts though. Price depends on what uprated internals and what gearbox you are talking about.

2wd borg warner box is stronger. They are completely different in every way.

so it looks like im gonns buy a 2wd saph,, if all rwd saphs are dogs when looking to buy,, is it hard to convert a 4x4 ta rwd only,, is that borg warner the t5 gearbox in 2wd cheers 4 info paul

It's not terribly hard to convert a 4wd to 2wd, but unless you want to go above around 350-380bhp the 4wd box is fine so long as you don't launch on every pull away.
The 2wd box is one of the 380 or so Borg Warner T5 versions, now owned by Tremec.

ov these 380 or so t5 versions fit the cozy,,

There is a T5 version that fits the cossie, it is a very good box mostly but does have weaknesses, one problem was the box was only rated to 180bhp to start with by the makers, so they do really well considering the abuse they put up with, even the sang yong musso uses a T5 version!!
