cosworth front 4wd brakes fit 2wd???
hello all, i have a saphire cosworth 2wd & it has massive ap brakes on the front & are not 2 my taste as the car will only run on 17's
my plan is 2 refit original wheels/brakes
but.......
i cant find any 2wd front brakes for reasonable money so thinking of fittiong 4wd front brakes as there are loadsa about for sale for the price i want 2 pay.
will the 4wd front brakes fit straight onto a 2wd without problems???? running std rims??

Hi mate I am pretty sure it is only the rear which are compateble as the fronts on 4b's have the driveshafts up front resulting in different knuckles and due to this I think the discs and calipers are dished differently to compinsate.

Can be fitted quite easy using a few washers to space correctly, is a serious backward step though, as std 4wd brakes are very very poor.
You can get a pair of NEW alloy calipers for £250, what you get for the AP will easily pay for this, as the AP are massively OTT price wise, but depending on your driving style I would have a serious rethink the std brakes even 2wd 4 pots and ace pads at speeds over around 120 leave a lot to be desired.
I have 2wd 4 pots with ebc yellowstuff pads and drilled discs all in perfect order, and changing to my tarox 6 pots, I don't like to get noticed so have painted them BUBBLE GUM PINK to go behind my new gloss black alloys!!
