What is the easiest way to remove the rear bushes out of the rear beam?? the big ones not the ones on the trailing arms.....

The beam is out of the car

I have heard the ones on the rear arms have to be pressed out?? anyone local in the North east who would do this??

Assuming you want to remove the rear beam bushes due to upgrade etc or new ones if the old ones aren't needed can cut the exposed bit off, leaving the metal tube part sticking out then they will simply push out easy.

or simply get a heat gun an burn them out piece of piss with an acetalene torch lol

Take the beam to Kwik Fit and give them a fiver to press them out.

Takes 5 mins tops with stanley knife/saw blade.

The cross-member bushes are nearly 4" diameter and obviously I don't have any sockets that size but this piece of extractor fan ventilation pipe worked just as well.

The other side of the bush was a nut and an old crush tube. Just wind up the nuts and the bush just popped out without any effort.

On the left is the original Ford rubber bush. On the right is the new poly bush. Apparently, the top ring is optional and I don't think it's needed on my car. These bushes are about 4" diameter!

You are right about the upper donut being optional. Unless on track, it is a nuisance. The ride quality is not improved with it on the roads and all you will hear is diff whine over everything else. Remove them and it all goes nice again.
