Default Live mapping ?

At what point would you recomend this ? Im currently more than happy with my spec but was wondering if i would atchualy gain anything from a proper map currently on

standard comp / head
greys
universal t38
500 cooler

and all the other usual bits....

You would gain more power from a live map m8.

What about drivability ? the 38's a litle laggy compared to my previous 34

i only had the .48 34 which was punchy as fuck but pulls no way near as hard as the 38, best thing ive done by far

I wouldn't bother until you have the right spec engine in there mate, i plan to have a live map the next time but it won't be until i sort a 200 block and a set of cams - then i may even ditch the 38 in favour of a T4

IMO it doesnt matter if its a n/a 1800 or a full blown turbo monster, you can't compare a custom live map to a generic map, its not just the final power output you have to think about but the way it drives, how it comes on boost and spreads the power through the rev range. You can change the way it drives from having less power spread through the rev rang or gain more bhp at a sacrafice of moving the power b further up the rev range etc

I would never have a generic chip after having a live remap, for a small bit extra you gain a lot more
