Default T34.55 on a stage 3 3dr Cossie . Is it worth fitting it?

Hi all,

My 3dr has a stage 3 fitted so the obvious

-Bosch Greens
- -31 Actuator
-3Bar Map senser
-Airtec 60mm RS500 style intercooler
-4'' full Mongoose Exhaust
-Standard T3 Turbo (which is in good nik)
-Ahmed stage 3 chip
-K&N induction Filter

I recently got a T34.55 Turbo with 360 bearing.
Is it worth fitting this turbo on the above spec?
What will be the advantages and disadvantages?

Cheers
Cossie Ray

worth it if you want more power, t3 will do 300 at a push, youd need a new chip to suit the turbo change but youd be looking at around 335 with that at a wild guess. Alot laggier than nthe t3 though

Yes you could fit it Ray, but as said, it,d need a new chip, with the .55 housing it shouldn,t really be that laggy tbh, yes it wont have the punch your T3 has but it,ll do 350+ on the right set-up injectors etc...

My dark greens were at 80% duty at 300bhp, and they were perfect as had just been cleaned flow tested.

I was thinking of getting a .48 housing for the T34 Turbo so it will spool up quicker.

T34.48 is a nice setup for a quick punchy road car imo Ray, loved that setup on my old 3dr with Greys and live map.....

I know, that's why I put a set of greys in, then was set up on them, 0.97% CO, 137ppm, despite 180,000+ miles on bottom end runs like a dream, noisy dream as a tappet just packed up, but can wait till the bottom end is done in a few months, if I get time.

Well worth fitting on that spec, but you will need a new chip of course.

Ray,

As Chip says, 55lbs will work with either of the above very well, you,ll get a punchy car with the .48 where-as with the .55 you,d have more power and so on with the .63.

55 Housing is a nice place to be aswell...

Pete, I have not fitted it as yet.

Still on the stage 3 with the standard turbo. The car is running lovely, So I am just going to enjoy it for a while. Maybe in a couple of months time.

I am in the process of tidying up the engine bay with some black tanks and some new hoses. So that is keeping me busy at the moment.

I still like the idea of the T34.55 with Siemens 55s, So hopefully soon.

Cheers
Ray
