Saff petrol flap gasket, tibbe key, filler neck
Can you get these new still? I gently pulled mine off to remove the flap n cap since I have no key for the cap. Drilled it off etc.
So looking to source petrol cap - easy as pie. But the damn little gasket is not. Does it come new as a strip or a circle. When mine came off it was not a closed circle, just a strip.
I hope I can find all the niggly bits for this damn resto. It will be worth it though. There are only 6 known Sapphires in all of North America and I have the only LHD one.
Also, I got a lock kit shipped form Wales courtesy AndyPen and it contained a tibbe lock cylinder for the petrol cap, alas I think this is only for 4x4 or newer Saff since the saff petrol cap appears to have changed in 1990. Mine is a 1988. Would be nice to have the petrol cap same as ignition. Can you add the filler neck from a newer car?
