I'm sure the 4x4 is 3.62:1, the 2wd being 3.64:1

Yes std, you'd have to replace both if you wanted different ones, rears are no problem, front is somewhat different.

Hi,
A friendly man at the local ford dealer let me use his microfiche machine and I've managed to get all the part numbers, FINIS numbers, exploded diagrams etc for Sierra, Granada and Scorpios. I'm putting together everything I've found at http://www.super7thheaven.co.uk
Hope that helps - It's a work in progress

would it not effect a 4x4 if they are turning at 2 different ratios, e.g. v6 diff and 2.0 diff, likek put strain on the box??

the cossie and V6 cars have a 3.62:1 ratio front and rear in 7 inch diff casings

the 2.0 dohc has a 3.92:1 ratio front and rear in 7 inch diff casings

the 2.0 rwd dohc cars have 3.92:1 ratios in 7.5 diff casings

the 2.8 front diff uses a different casing to the 2.0 and V6 and cossie diff casings, but they are still 6.5 inch diffs so you can't use the 2.8 front diff on any other sump

some people say they have made them fit, but it's easier to find the later diffs that "will" fit rather than ones that "probably won't" fit

the internals of the 2.0 dohc, 2.9 V6 and cossie 4wd mt75 boxes are all the same, the only differences are in the front casings
