i have no idea about mapping but im pretty sure as long as the afr stays ar about 13.5-13.9 then you should be about there, I may be wrong though, if it starts heading towards 14+ then its leaning off too much
im just getting to grips with my v4 software, if you don have a self standalone mappable ecu I would knock the boost down and bring it gradually constantly checking it, once its stable get it to a mapper.
im sure this doenst help you.lol :-( soz

lol, thats why im not gonna do my, went to corten miller today to pick up my race block, spent half an hours on them whilst they were mapping a car, there is soooo much involved, fuel maps, ign maps, cranking bollox, etc etc best left to the proffessionals ![Wink](https://passionford.com/forum/images/smilies/icon_wink.gif)
had to laugh at the det cans though, who would of thought sothing so simple could save an engine

OMG!!! Please don't touch anything until a qualified tuner looks at it...
Fuel pressure should be determined by who wrote the chip, from my experience with MSD standard (3.5 bar vacuum pipe disconnected).
AFR should 12.2 - 12.7... Anything in the 13's is a meltdown waiting to happen on a boosted car.
Good luck

my comments just go to show you should leave it to the proffessionals!!!lol
I really fancy getting a n/a (cheap) car and learning the basics of mapping as its really interesting.
so what is the best afr for safe performance as there are 2 options on this thread, mid 11's or mid 12's?
would that make a lot of difference in performance?

just been trawling through some other performance forums, mainly jap stuff and for a turbo car running on pump fuel the safe norm seems to be mid 11's and on high octane race fuel mid 12's so i think the guys on here are bang on the money
