Default Fuel rail mod.

What size fitting do you use to fix to the fuel rail to use braided hose.
Also what is the best way of welding/braising the new fitting to the rail.

Cheers for any advice folks.

Nice that.
you have a fitting on both ends on the upper pipe. Is that a blank where the fuel pipe would go on.

I've had 3 rails done, all mine were tigged though as the welder didn't want to upset the original braising. Welding doesn't transmit heat as far as braising.

Angry bugger

Took the 3 door out for a quick spin today. Clutch cable broke about 10 miles from home. Got towed to a garage near my home by the AA. Should be able to pick it up tomorrow if the garage can get hold of the cable 1st thing. The car came to rest with the rear end stuck out in the road. It was a bit scary trying to control traffic in both directions while I was waiting for the AA. Nobody stopped to help me push it onto the verge. Thanks to all the people who passed. I hope I can do the same for you all oneday.

Any welding or brazing will transmit heat, the best thing to do would be SILVER SOLDER, not cheap but 100% effective, it will never break either unlike the original shit joins.

Anyone that can braize can do silver solder, as it's done the same way, they may not have silver solder, try and find someone locally that does BRASS as this is used a lot on brass peices, the best people are the retired people who make model trains, as that's pretty much all they use, so just a lot of asking around.
I would ask at machine shops etc to start with.
