Default 18" wheels on a 3 door???

I reallly hate the wheels that are on my 3 door at the moment,
I really want a set of 17" CXN compomotive's but i can't afford to spend £2000 on new wheels and tyres at the moment although i will be having a set after Xmas,
So untill then i need to change the wheels as i hate them that much, i would put the originals back on but i need 17s to fit over the APs,
I have got the chance of a set of 18s that look ok, and are at the right money, and will do untill i can get my CXNs.....

Anyone put 18s on a 3 door if so how did it drive????

I drove Lees old black 500 with 18s on and it skipped around on the road if the surface was a bit dodgy... 17s I reckon as well.

Well i think the best wheels are 15" as mines never drove the same since fitting my 17" CXN's but i'm running 8.5" & 215/40 on the back instead of 235/40

I run 16s to get the brakes under them - have the original works Speedline splitties but am usually on my comp TH's. Been driving another 500 most of the week on standard rims. Concluded that 16 is the best compromise - really happy with my sets ups

I have read that the perfect wheel for a 3dr is 16"

Chris,I am running 235's rear and 215's on the front the same as u fella.
Yes I bet the ride is better on the original 15's,I couldn't comment as I've only had 15's sharktooths on my K plate sapp and the ride was indeed excellent.
