Clockwise to Bore wash or lock out the fuel pump and melt the engine.

Anti clockiwise to lean off and melt the engine.

by all means adjust it.....if it needs it.

ie you need to measure it ,and set the line pressure to 3.5 bar at idle with the vac pipe off and blocked.

she will need a fueling and det check after any adjustments are made.

you will be amazed how many monkeys out there tune cossies via the fuel reg

my advice would be get her to stu asap, and let him run some diagnostics on her to make sure your sensors are ok, then he can set her up! and you can drive home with a smile

Ok, cheers james.
As said, its going to msd on friday for 330 bhp conversion, its just a nightmare to drive at the moment!
I dont intend on revving it hard at all untill it gets there (the next time it moves will be to go to there)

you could try a few turns on the global mod screw, and wind the boost right down to be safe

the global mod is a trim screw for the whole fuel table,

as you adjust it it adds or subracts a percentage from your fuel table,

this is why the fuelling needs checking on full boost after adjustment, as when you wind the idle co down, you also reduce fuelling at the top

Wahoo! that worked, thanks for the advice guys,
James, the global mod screw is the one that did it, that and the fact we had an air leak on the inlet manifold.
Running like a dream now, got the boost down to 6 psi to keep it safe, will potter up to blackpool on friday now!

stu will most probably leak test the whole inlet system when he gets it, as air leaks cause massive problems on these

it seems pretty good at the moment, been using the old easy start method to find leaks! suprisingly efective it seems!

What is meant is to spray easy start(containing ether) around joints gaskets etc, then any leaks it gets sucked in and causes the revs to change, so you know if you have a leak.
The added bonus of using easy start is it cleans your engine as well, so isn't such a waste.
