For sale is my Specialised Engines stage 3 efi big valve head.
This has been ported, polished, had bigger inlet valves and a Kent CVH34 cam kit installed along with a piper vernier pulley.
The head was on my 1.9 cvh RS Turbo and gave very good power. I had the car custom mapped by Motorsport Developments and it went very well indeed!
I covered approx 2500 miles with this before my bottom end gave in.
This has had new valve stem oil seals fitted for the sale.
I've just bought a 2.1 zetec turbo engine so this is surplus to requirements.
I have the original receipt from Specialised Engines for £749.60
I'm looking for £275 for this. SOLD!

I also have for sale a set of Bosch 701 'beige' injectors
I had these ultrasonically cleaned and they had new seals etc fitted before I used them.
This cost £58.75 and I have the receipt for this.
These have also covered approx 2500 miles
i'm looking for £60 for these. SOLD!

Where abouts are you Grant?
Has the camshaft/tappets been out of the head since it was removed? was the top end quiet, no tappet noise? has it got double valve springs fitted?
Does it come with the vernier pulley?
Sorry for all the questions, I'm about to rebuild my CVH and the head needs line bored/overhauled and I also need a new camshaft so would make sense to buy something like this. Reason I ask if it's been apart or not is just incase the tappets have been mixed up as they need to wear with the cam so if mixed up they will just get knackered, as you probably know.

Hi mate i'm in Scotland.
The cam and tappets havn't been out of the head since removal, the head was removed a couple months ago and lives in my house at the mo.
The top end was quiet when on the car mate, no rattles or anything.
With regard to the double valve springs, i'm not sure tbh. Is it obvious when looking at them?
If so they look like one single coil if you know what i mean?
Any more questions just ask!

Ah Scotland, i'm in Glasgow, you anywhere near here?
Double valve springs are easy to spot, they have the normal spring as usual, then a thinner spring inside that one!

What happened to your bottom end? engine wasn't overheated was it?
Has the cam covered same mileage as head?
What you reckon postage would be, or if your up for it could meet half way? peebles is 56 miles from me.

My engine started to smoke heavy and idle became erratic. I stripped the engine hoping to change the rings but found scored bores. I suspect the engine ran lean prior to mapping and caused this. The engine never overheated once and it was alway driven gently untill the oil got up to running temp before being driven hard.
The cam has done the same mileage as the head mate.
I would have to weigh the head but I think a courier would be no more than £10
