Pectel T6 ECU
Selling my T6 which I have had for around 3 years. Selling due to a change in plans and it is no longer required. It is currently on Ebay.
It is not a 2000 by the way.

Reserve is now Ł800 plus Ł20 delivery. Relisted.
I'm not asking too much am I? Considering it cost me Ł1200...

It had a software update in 2000 and may have been used on a works Ford car as it has Ford Int Dev written on it.

Daz, i dont need it but maybe it would help if you can tell people if its "open developer " or sealed , maybe who last mapped it etc..

I'm unsure to be honest Tony. It was a group a car map from 2000 but that is all I know. I haven't seen Telefonica on it I don't think. Why do you ask?
Would I be best sending it back to Pectel do you think?

Like Tony said you could do with finding out a bit more about it like if its open or locked. Also what software version its running too.
If you could connect it to a PC with deskpro you could get all sorts of info off it to help your sale.

Last software revision is written on the back. V3.15 IIRC. There doesn't seem to be a serial number on it though unfortunately.
I think I am going to have to send it back to Pectel aren't I?!
This is on the back of the ECU and a little inside it.

This is everything written on it..
Written on the back on mine is the following. I'll use *** where a word is illegible.
**** drivers
V2.20 s/ware
5/1/2000
Ford int dev
----------------
Updated to V3.15
Ford int dev
15/8/2000
****************
****** *.02
On the circuit board inside I can see the following
Pectel T6 ECU
V1.48
Inside there is some solderable jumpers that look like they are to set up the ECU for certain things.
KTHERM
DET
LAM1
LAM2
LAM TYP
CANLK
BARO
RTC
EPI
INJ TYP
FI0
FI1
FI2
FI3
IGN0
IGN1
IGN2
Going off what I know about this ECU and the positions of the solderable links I would guess that this ECU is set up to use the following.
K type thermo couple
LAM1 (what ever that is)
CAN link
Real time clock
INJ TYP (it was using greys so assume low impedance)
FI2 (what ever that means)
IGN0 (what ever that means).
I know the car was running a coil pack and air to air injectrors as that was what was on the loom. I don't have the loom any more as it was a little beyond repair and it was going to cost more to fix than replace.

Tell you what FAIR play for printing and publishing your findings !!
a lot of peope wouldve just stiffed someone with a locked unit , Ians a top guy and you wont find anyone more knowledgeable too so well done to you both .
As for the Telefoncia Q , the Nissan world series ( spain only & sponsored by telefonica ) ordered batches of T6 ecu's , the units were locked and had very basic functions, a few of thes have been passed off as works units when worthless .

Pectel can unlock it, mine was a mountune T6 that was unlocked.
Glad the serial number was over 200 as I had been told the first 200 T6's had problems and where unreliable, no idea if thats true?

The problem is I think that not a lot is known about the T6 ECU's and that fact that what an individual unit can do, can be totally different to another unit. Or at least, the knowledge isn't common place!!
I'll just have to either sell it as a locked ECU or bite the bullet and get it unlocked just to help it sell. I just want rid of it now so I can buy an SQ6!!
Paul, I heard that the first batch of F88 ECU's were utter garbage but never heard (although I haven't asked much to be honest) about the T6 being unreliable.

I would unlock it mate, mine came back from Pectel with the Descpro CD ready to go would be worth at least a grand like that.
Out of interest that list you put up is that its present spec or the factory supplied spec? as it may be that with the updates its had they may have added more inj drivers? If you send it back to Pectel they could tell you exactly what spec its presently running

Hi Paul, it has had 2 updates since that build spec so it may have been updated. I am currently e-mailing Justin Goddard and Gary Rands about it now.
Obviously if I spend Ł250 on it, I'd like to gain at least some of it back although I don't expect the earth for it. By the time I get it unlocked, I'll have Ł1450 in it!

No worries Ian. Thanks for the help. Did she spot the oil on the floor too?!
I've e.mailed pectel about unlocking it so i'll more than likely be sending it back to them.
