Default stuck in the slow lane

Hi guys having some problems with a 03 mondeo ghia x 130bhp 90ps tdci estate.

the turbo has stopped working so the car now performs like any non turbo heavy diesel car from the dark ages would.
doesn't hick or splutter when accelerating although mpg is quite down with having to use more throttle, there's no smoke problems out the exhaust, no noises, no warning lights fault codes or anything.

so have a couple of questions to ask

1/ what kind of turbo are they vacuum or electronic
2/ would an egr valve problem cause the turbo not to work (egr has been blanked off for a while)
3/ im checking through hoses for splits but could anything else stop the turbo from working

Is it variable vane?

If so the vanes may not be so variable now

Any lights on the dash or fault codes from the reader?

no fault codes present at all on the system and not lights on the dashboard. the car runs great apart from having no turbo

Hi the only way your going to find out the problem is to have a diagnostic done on it and you might find out its not what you thought it was ? i had one done at Fords for Ł40 three weeks ago.

You can't have both a 130 and a 90, they're two different models.
