The Sub runs off a special amp in the 6006E Audiophile stereo. It aint just going to plug in.
You're going to need to amplify it. You'd have been better off getting a sub from halfords or something. How much did you pay for it?

its got a little amplifier on the the top of the sub housing. if i use a 6006 head unit it should just plug and play. but im not im using the pioneer which ive been told would work it as well. but it hasnt lol. i paid Ł70 quid for it. i gave my 9006 away to a friend for his zetec s not realising they worth a little bit so if worse comes to worse ill just get a 6006 and pop that back in when i sell the car. mines an st170 so the wiring is all ready there for the sub. also im after a mk1frs so could keep it for that.

6006 won't work. You need a 9006! Or an aftermarket amplifier.

you can use the 6006e but you need to get the pre out adaptor for it but you would still need to get a amp

yerrr i meant 9006 audiophile i got it mixed up lol.
ive just bid on one on ebay.
i thought as it was all running through a standard loom my pioneer would run it.
looks like a trip to an audio specialist they must of encountered this problem before...
