I have a MK1 2001 Focus 1.6 Zetec SE, and i am looking to install a K&N induction kit in the next week or so....
i have read around and people say to install a cold air feed to the filter area but cannot mount the hose onto the front lower grill because i have the two fans there....? Anyone come across this before or anyone have any ideas i could try?

er.... feel realy stupid now.... the K&N provides you with the flexi hose for the cold air feer which installs next to radiator and then tells you to remove the snorkell....
Thanks for your reply, next time i will RTFM!!!![Smile](https://passionford.com/forum/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif)

K&N fitted..... Sounds good (not too grumbly but not too girlie) fitted the flexi hose provided by K&N kit to the original snorkel and installed a apiro heat shield!
Acceleration is quicker
Accelerator pedal is more responsive
My rough Idling has gone
it also ironed out flat spot in 4th gear
All in all a good buy.... Got my BlueFin coming tomorrow!!

mate could i ask if you put a pic your focus with your k&N fitted cause i had a few k& N and they all cracked by the cone which put me off and running the cold air feed pipe was a total pain in the ass and did not feel i get the best out the induction kit on a whole

Leave it with me mate and ill get a pic for you.
I dont think im getting the best out of the K&N to be honest. Which is why i want to get another cold air feed to the filter. But we have been in a heat wave so the air being sucked in over the past week or two has been hot air!!!
Running the cold air feed straight to the existing air inlet scoop by the bonnet catch was easy however I need a little thought on the 2nd one as i have two fans on the front grill (aircon) and cannot fit a pipe there untill i drill a hole in some plastic!![Smile](https://passionford.com/forum/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif)
Pic will follow next week buddy.
