Today driven around i looked in my passagener side mirror notice some blue smoke commin out of my exhaust , Parked up at home left it running on tickover . Blue smoke pooring out of it . ANY IDEAS GUYS ???? ive got decat pipe fitted , and just fitted baily dump valve . (dont know if that would do anythin to do it ??) cheers

 

Blue smoke is oil burning. It could be turbo seals, piston rings or numerous other things. How many miles has it covered?

 

its only done 16k . the only good is that its an 04 plate so its still under warranty

 

Some people have found that their FRS becomes "smokey" when they fit a decat, due the the catalyst hiding the excessive smoke due to turbo oil seal failure!

If you are going to take it back to Ford as it is still under warranty, I would recomend that you re-fit your OEM Catalyst.

My local dealership, would not carry out any warranty work unless I brought the car to them in standard form!

 

ford have got it now but decat pipe is still on . hope they dont pick it up

 

I've seen a standard FRS with a Rod that was snapped clean in half, so guess anything can happen..

Probably turbo oil seal failure, worst case the piston rings..

 

What happend then?

 

ok Turbo was knackered Ford fixed it all done under warranty
They didnt even notice the decat pipe mint

 

they circled the problem from the factory :blub:

 

why is it a common problem ??
