DUMP VALVE ON A FRS??
Found myself a mint Focus RS, 17k miles, 2 owners, FFSH and totally standard. Its absolutely immaculate. Goin ta pick it up Saturday, cant wait!!
Hoping to mod it with new zorst and de-cat, induction/filter, bluefin, dump valve, and possible charge cooler and manifold. What sort of power should I be expecting with those?
Anyway, im after a Dump Valve and de-cat for it first, as I have a small amount of cash left to mod it with. Want the Dump Valve to be as loud as possible, althought Ive heard you can have fueling probs with Atmospheric types. Is this true? Is there anything you can do to overcome this? Also, anyone got a certain make of DV to recommend, for the best sound. Opinions welcome on this folks!!

hello m8, ive just bought a frs as well. Well pleased with it. I want some of the mods you are on about as well, have you looked on the rsowners club website, ive been looking on on the focus rs forum and it seems they try to group buy things to make them cheaper for everyone, anyway good luck with your new motor when you get it, cheers smiffyrst

Hi guy`s, great choice of car!
With those mods you should be looking at 280bhp easily.
To stick with a recirc DV as was fitted to the FRS and you want it as loud as possible, I`ve heard the Forge DV006 is the one. I and many others have the Bailey DV30 which is supposed to be a smidgen quieter!
Some have problems with the "to atmosphere" ones but then some say they don`t so........................don`t know!

Cheers for the replies chaps.
Just been talking to a local garage who is a Ford specialist, and he seems to think you can get away with an Atmospheric type DV, so long as you dont have an Induction Kit fitted. So you could have a K n N panel filter and an Atmos DV. Anyone got anything to comment on this? True or not?!?

Yes, have heard the induction kit doesn`t help. If in doubt and you do get it, disconnect the battery for half hour so then the car will start it`s learning curve from new with your new mods, should be ok!

Cool, sounds good. Thats a good job aswell, cos ive just bought a second hand Baileys DV off a lad from here. Just need the fitting kit now, onto Baileys website I think. That the best place for one?
