Default De-cat on FRS

Got a mongoose de-cat pipe due to be arriving sometime soon. Car is totally standard atm. Should I see a big improvement with just this mod?? How much, power wise would you say over standard? Will it affect the sound of the car??

Yea mate you will get a much better grumble from the car with de cat and you can expect better pick up and response and an extra 15-20 bhp.

I went for sport cat and got good gains.

It arrived Friday and is getting fitted tomorrow. Does anyone know if the Mongoose de-cat is supposed to have a kinda large'ish dint in it?? Somehow, it looks like it supposed to be there and has been fabricated like that. Not sure tho.

De-cat fitted now. Well impressed with the noise it now makes (deeper exhaust note, popping, burbling and a lal bit of backfire!), and the extra power. A well worth while mod.
