Default Escort RS turbo Throttle Position Sensor affect cold start?

Hi anyone know whether the Throttle Position Sensor being incorrectly adjusted will affect cold starting?

Can anyone tell me what it actually does and if it was incorrectly set what the effects would be?

Mine is currently tilted all theway to one side for some reason?

I am having problems with cold starting and am running out of things to try.

I have tried unpluggung it, tried changing it. Checked all my wires are correct behind the inlet etc used haynes manual etc etc etc

It starts after a few minutes of starting and cuting out( have to try and hold it at high revs for a while) and it is very rough for the first mile or so. after that pretty much spot on and very fast just doesn't like being chilly!

They are like a fine wine they get better with age, but some can become ruined and tasteless like its been corked, not mine though! It's 18 and just left school!

Have taken it to a tuners and paid Ł1300+ to get it running, wow its running but running like shit one you've f*cked about for 10 mins trying to get it to start and waking all your neighbours up in the AM. It's ok to wake your neighbours up int the morning but only when you can burn away fast up the street not still sitting on the drive!

If it fires then dies straight away you probably just need to turn your idle mixture a bit richer, try 1/4 of a turn at at time clockwise :thumbup
