popping and banging
my s2 has started 2 pop and bang and the car starts judering it will only do it when u put your foot down when you let of its ok till u go over 60 im thinking wiring 2 fuel pump what do u lot think thanx

dont no mate not had the car long gona get it set up soon the thing that makes me think fuel pump is my mate fitted a fuel pump on it few weeks ago its ok till u try n overtake then it starts juddering n popping n i have 2 cut back in couse it aint got the power 2 overtake only does it sometimes aswell

it does mate jst trying 2 sort this problem first its not overboosting its set to 7 psi also it will do when you r not on boost my mate reacons it carnt be the wiring to the pump or it wouldnt run

Yup, now you mention that it sounds like it's overboosting, is the car not chipped? Does it have a boost gauge? You need to know what boost its running because it sounds like the ECU is shutting the car down.

no its not chipped yet its got a boost gauge reads 7 bit higher sometimes but it doesnt always do it ive took it 2 rev limiter b4 n its not done it jst seems 2 do it more often now what boost can u have on a standard ecu

boost can rise a few psi in cold weather!! if it's boosting to over 7 sometimes, then add on a bit for cold weather and it could be hitting boost cut whats that 10 or 12psi i forget.

mines doing the same kind of thing only realy happens when it gets warm it seems to be getting worse on mine as it is now holding back as well
it will prob break down on me and then ill be able to find out whats rong
every one ses to get it tuned but mine was fine untill this started happening so hope fully i can find out whats wrong and fix it myself and save some cash
